Join us for this introduction to traditional Japanese embroidery.

The basics are easy and well-suited to mending and decoration on jeans and countless other fabric items. This class will provide information on basic materials (needles/thread/fabric/pattern marking tools/optional notions) and the step-by-step hand stitching process. We will provide thread, a needle and fabric for you to dive in during class.

Learn to make the Knitting for Olive Scarf. Indulge yourself in this long, elegant scarf, worked in a simple textured pattern with twisted rib edges. 

You will learn:

Twisted Rib.
Knitting From a Chart.

Must know how to knit and purl.

Suitable for fast the beginner to intermediate knitter.

Advanced beginner -- Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and follow a pattern

There are so many great topdown patterns out there, and they might seem a little intimidating. No problem. In this class, we will work through a pattern (choose from a list of suggestions) and learn how to make a top down sweater that fits!

Class Cost: $25 registration plus a $28 materials fee paid the day of the class (includes book, needles, and yarn).
