Introduction to Sashiko with Nanci - May 11, 2024
Join us for this introduction to traditional Japanese embroidery.
The basics are easy and well-suited to mending and decoration on jeans and countless other fabric items. This class will provide information on basic materials (needles/thread/fabric/pattern marking tools/optional notions) and the step-by-step hand stitching process. We will provide thread, a needle and fabric for you to dive in during class.

Bad Lux Designs is in the business of curating colorful yarn based on life experiences. Bad Lux Designs is owned and operated by graphic designer, Kate (Lux) Moore. As a creative, her medium is not just digital, but physical too. Hand-dyeing yarn is Kate's favorite way to explore palettes that not only build and blend for larger projects but also stand strong in their own space. Bad Lux Designs crafts small batches of hand-dyed yarns to inspire makers to explore their craft and experience the world around them in new, exciting color combinations.

There are so many great topdown patterns out there, and they might seem a little intimidating. No problem. In this class, we will work through a pattern (choose from a list of suggestions) and learn how to make a top down sweater that fits!

Cables look complex, but really aren't once you unravel the mysteries of reading the charts. In this class, we will work through a cabled sweater, learning how to read charts with confidence, cable techniques, and a deeper dive into sweater construction. Pattern suggestions will be provided prior to class, but you may pick a pattern on your own with teacher approval.

Fast Start Intro to Knitting with Jen - January 21, 2024
Learn to knit this Summer with the wonderful Jen! This is a quick start version of our Beginner class. You will make a small project and leave with needles, and great reference book, and some yarn.
Class Cost: $25 registration plus a $28 materials fee paid the day of the class (includes book, needles, and yarn).
