Twisted Plant Hanger: Beginner Level (ages 14 and up)

Description:
In this beginner level workshop (that will also be fun for a more experienced crafter) we will make a cotton plant hanger and concentrate on learning 2 knots: 1) the Square Knot which is the one we will use to create all our designs, and 2) the Gathering Knot, which is a "tool" knot we’ll use to add some structure and flare to our work. With these basic and easy to learn knots the students will be able to complete a full project.
Since this is a beginner level workshop, the students will follow the instructor step by step working on their plant hanger.
Provided macrame supplies that are included in the $7 p/p supply fee:
- sufficient rope to make the plant hanger
- a wooden ring
- an S hook for working on a rack
- brush for the tassel
Students/organizer provides the following tools:
- Small Scissors: 3”-5” Detailing Scissors
- Large Scissors: 7”-9” Scissors
- Tape measure
- Writing materials and a notebook for notes (optional)
